AYAM Brand White Pearl Barley is made from 100% natural barley grains with the outer husk and bran removed, giving them a tender, pleasantly chewy texture when cooked.
A familiar ingredient in Malaysian and Singaporean households, pearl barley is often used to prepare refreshing barley water (Air Barli), served warm or chilled with rock sugar and a squeeze of lemon.
It’s also suitable for Chinese-style sweet soups (tong sui), savoury soups, stews and porridge. You can even use cooked pearl barley as an alternative to rice or pasta.
What makes AYAM Brand White Pearl Barley convenient is that the grains have already been polished, allowing them to cook faster than whole-grain barley.
